Notion AI pricing, Notion AI plans, Notion Enterprise pricing and Notion AI credits

The reason Notion AI pricing is confusing is that it changed shape. It used to be a $10 per member add-on you could bolt onto any plan, including the cheap ones. Now the AI is the plan: Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search and the third-party connectors all sit on Business, and Free and Plus get a trial whose size Notion does not publish. So the honest answer to "how much does Notion AI cost" is not a small add-on number. It is the difference between what you pay today and $20 a member per month, multiplied by everyone who needs it.

SHORT ANSWER Last updated September 2026

Notion AI is not sold separately any more. It comes with the Business plan at $20 per member per month billed annually, or $24 billed monthly. Free and Plus get what Notion labels a "Limited Trial" rather than the product. Autonomous Custom Agents then meter on top: Notion states they are "Free to try, then $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits". Enterprise is displayed as "Custom pricing", but the billing catalog embedded in that same pricing page carries a live Enterprise SKU at $336 per member per year, which is $28 a month.

Then there is a second meter almost nobody prices in. Custom Agents, the autonomous ones that run tasks without being asked each time, bill against Notion credits at $10 per 1,000 per month. Everyday writing and chat do not touch that meter, so plenty of teams never see it, and the teams that adopt agents properly see it every month. Below is every published number, the Enterprise figure Notion's own billing catalog carries while the page says custom, and what the whole thing costs at 10, 50 and 100 people.

Why it works

What your team gets with Notion AI pricing

The add-on became the plan

Notion AI used to be about $10 a member on top of any tier. Now Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search require Business at $20 a member annually, so the upgrade is the price.

Credits are the second meter

Custom Agents bill at $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits on top of seats. Everyday chat and writing do not consume them, which is why the meter surprises teams only after adoption.

Enterprise says custom, the catalog does not

The pricing page renders "Custom pricing" for Enterprise. The billing catalog inside that same page carries an Enterprise SKU at $35 monthly and $336 a year, identified as a Q1 2026 increase.

What it handles

One search, a cited answer, scoped to you

InSearch searches across every connected app, checks your permissions, and writes one clear answer with citations back to the exact source documents.

  • One published per-seat price with no credits meter running underneath it
  • Every connected app searched in a single query, with the answer cited back to the source
  • Permissions enforced per person at query time, across every source, not just one workspace
  • Built for cross-app aggregation, which Notion says its own connectors find difficult
  • No annual-only commitment and no upgrade to a whole productivity suite to get search

Why InSearch

One search across every app, with a cited answer

Not eight separate search boxes, not a wall of blue links. InSearch unifies your apps and returns one written answer with citations, scoped to exactly what you can see.

One search, every app

Drive, Slack, Notion, Confluence, Gmail, Jira and Salesforce searched in a single query, so you stop opening a different search box for each tool.

A cited answer

A written answer in plain language with inline citations back to the exact source docs, so you can trust it and verify it instead of reading a page of links.

Permission-aware

It inherits and enforces each source's access controls at query time, so every person only ever sees answers from content they can already open. It never trains on your data.

Compared

Notion AI pricing next to the plans buyers compare it against

Notion figures read from notion.com/pricing and the Notion help center on September 8, 2026, in USD. Competitor figures re-verified within the last fortnight. Where a vendor publishes no number, the cell says so.

Plan Per member, billed annually Billed monthly Is Notion AI included? Who it fits
Notion Free $0 $0 A "Limited Trial" only. Notion does not publish the size of the trial One person trying Notion out
Notion Plus $10/member/month, billed as $120 a year $12 Still a "Limited Trial". Agent, Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search are not included Teams that want Notion the workspace, not Notion AI
Notion Business $20/member/month, billed as $240 a year $24 Yes. Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search, AI Connectors and SAML SSO The only self-serve tier where Notion AI is the real product
Notion Enterprise Displayed as "Custom pricing". The billing catalog in that page carries $336 a year, so $28 a month $35 in the same catalog, tagged as a Q1 2026 increase Yes, plus zero data retention with LLM providers, SCIM, audit log and a CSM Anyone whose security review needs SCIM, audit logs or zero retention
Notion Custom Agents $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits, on top of seats Same meter This is the add-on, not a plan. Free to try first Teams automating repetitive work with autonomous agents
ChatGPT Business $20/seat/month standard, $100 premium $25 standard, $125 premium Company Knowledge is a plugin, and each person authorizes their own apps 2 seat minimum, and a 200 paid seat ceiling since August 24, 2026
Claude Enterprise $20/seat/month, annual only Not offered The seat includes no usage at all. Every token bills at API rates A 20 seat minimum makes it a poor fit under about 25 people
Microsoft 365 Copilot $30/user/month add-on paid yearly, so $69 on E3 or $90 on E5 all in Not offered on the add-on Included in the add-on, scoped to the Microsoft Graph Microsoft-first companies already paying for E3 or E5

The Enterprise row is the one to read twice. Notion renders "Custom pricing" on the card, so almost every published comparison repeats that and stops. The plan catalog serialized into that same page carries a current Enterprise product with a monthly unit amount of 3500 and a yearly unit amount of 33600 in USD, under an identifier naming a Q1 2026 increase. That is $35 and $336 per member, and the 20 percent annual discount matches Plus and Business exactly. Treat it as the number your quote should start from, not as a list price Notion has agreed to.

How much does Notion AI cost?

Twenty dollars per member per month, billed annually, because Notion AI now comes with the Business plan rather than being sold on its own. Billed monthly the same seat is $24. There is no cheaper route: Free and Plus are limited to what Notion calls a "Limited Trial" of the AI features, and the old standalone add-on is no longer how new customers buy it.

That framing matters more than the number. If your team is already on Business, Notion AI costs nothing extra and you should turn it on today. If your team is on Plus at $10, the real cost of Notion AI is the $10 a member gap, every month, for every person who needs it. For a 40 person team that is $4,800 a year to add AI to a tool you already pay for. Teams on Free are looking at the whole $20.

The number people miss is the second one. Custom Agents, the autonomous kind that run a task on a schedule or a trigger rather than answering when asked, meter separately against Notion credits. Ordinary chat, writing, autofill and translation do not touch that meter, so the credits line stays at zero for a lot of workspaces and then appears the month somebody builds an agent that actually gets used.

Is Notion AI included in the Business plan?

Yes, and Business is the first tier where it is genuinely included. Notion's pricing page lists Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search, SAML SSO, granular database permissions and premium connections as what Business adds on top of Plus. Free and Plus show "Limited Trial" against those same AI rows.

Notion does not publish how large that trial is on the pricing page, so treat any specific trial number you read elsewhere as somebody's estimate rather than a Notion figure. What is clear from the plan matrix is the direction: the trial exists to show you the feature, not to run a team on.

The connector requirement is the same. Notion's help documentation for AI Connectors states plainly that to connect third-party apps to Notion AI you must be on the Business or Enterprise plan, with one carve-out: Notion Mail is free to connect on all plans. So if the reason you want Notion AI is to search Slack and Google Drive from inside Notion, Business is the entry point and there is no way around it.

How much is Notion Enterprise per user?

Notion displays "Custom pricing" on the Enterprise card, so there is no list price it will stand behind publicly. The billing catalog embedded in that same pricing page tells a more specific story: a current Enterprise product priced at 3500 monthly and 33600 yearly in USD unit amounts, which is $35 per member per month and $336 per member per year, or $28 a month on the annual commitment.

Two details make that worth knowing before a call. The identifier on both of those entries names a Q1 2026 increase, which says Notion raised Enterprise pricing this year. And the annual figure sits at exactly a 20 percent discount to the monthly one, the same ratio Notion applies to Plus ($12 to $10) and Business ($24 to $20). The number is internally consistent with the rest of the price list rather than an artifact.

Be honest with yourself about what that gets you. Enterprise adds zero data retention with LLM providers, SCIM user provisioning, an audit log, advanced security controls, security and compliance connections for DLP and SIEM, domain management and a customer success manager. Those are security-review items. If nobody in your organization is asking for SCIM or an audit log, Enterprise is $8 a member a month for things you will not use, and Business is the right tier.

What are Notion credits and how much do they cost?

Notion credits are the meter for autonomous work. Notion prices Custom Agents as "Free to try, then $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits", charged on top of your Business or Enterprise seats. The credits are monthly and do not roll over, so an unused allowance is gone at the end of the cycle.

The distinction that decides your bill is which features draw on credits. Asking Notion AI a question, generating text, autofilling a database property, translating a page and running Enterprise Search do not consume credits on a Business seat. Custom Agents do. So the credits line is a function of how much autonomous automation you build, not of how heavily your team uses AI day to day.

There is a dated item to watch here that most comparisons have not caught up with. Notion Workers, the beta that lets you extend Notion with custom code to build agent tools, sync external data and trigger workflows from outside Notion, is free to try right now, and Notion's pricing page states it starts using credits on October 15. If you are budgeting a Notion rollout that includes Workers, the credits line for that piece is currently zero and is scheduled to stop being zero.

Notion AI pricing at 10, 50 and 100 users

On the annual Business price of $240 per member per year, Notion AI costs $2,400 a year for 10 people, $12,000 for 50 and $24,000 for 100. On the monthly $24 seat those become $2,880, $14,400 and $28,800. Add roughly $600 a year for every 5,000 monthly credits if you run Custom Agents.

Team sizeBusiness, annualBusiness, monthly billingEnterprise at the catalog annual rate
10 people$2,400/yr$2,880/yr$3,360/yr
25 people$6,000/yr$7,200/yr$8,400/yr
50 people$12,000/yr$14,400/yr$16,800/yr
100 people$24,000/yr$28,800/yr$33,600/yr
250 people$60,000/yr$72,000/yr$84,000/yr

Two things to layer on before you take a number to finance. First, seats are per member, and Notion counts guests separately with an unlimited guest allowance on paid plans, so an agency or client-heavy workspace is often cheaper than the headcount suggests. Second, if you publish Notion Sites on your own domain, custom domains bill separately at $8 per domain per month paid annually or $10 paid monthly, which is small but is not in the seat price.

The comparison that usually decides it: at 50 people, Notion Business and ChatGPT Business land on the same $12,000 a year, and Microsoft 365 Copilot lands at $18,000 a year in add-on fees alone on top of the Microsoft 365 licenses you already buy. Notion is the only one of the three where that price also buys the document workspace itself.

Can you still buy Notion AI as a separate add-on?

Not as the way in. Notion has consolidated AI into Business, and the pricing page now presents AI as a plan feature rather than a line item you attach to Plus. The nuance worth knowing is that the standalone AI product has not been deleted from Notion's billing catalog: it is still carried as a current product at $10 a month, or $96 a year which works out at $8 a month.

The practical reading is that if you bought the add-on before the change, your billing may well continue on that SKU, and it is worth checking your invoice before you assume you have to move everyone to Business. Several widely-read summaries state flatly that the add-on was retired. Notion's own catalog still lists it as current, which is a different thing from being available to new buyers.

Do not build a plan around it. A price object that exists for legacy billing is not an offer, and Notion has clearly moved the product. Budget for Business at $20 and treat any grandfathered add-on pricing you find on your account as a bonus you should not expect to keep through a renewal.

Which apps does Notion Enterprise Search connect to?

Notion AI Connectors cover Slack and Microsoft Teams for chat, Google Drive and Microsoft SharePoint with OneDrive for files, Jira, GitHub and Linear for projects, and Gmail, Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar for mail and calendars, plus Notion Mail and Notion Calendar which work on any plan. Everything else on that list needs Business or Enterprise.

Notion is also candid about which of those are finished. Its pricing page states that Jira, Box, OneDrive, Salesforce and Asana are currently in beta, which is a wider set than the help center connector table lists, so the two pages disagree slightly about what exists today. Worth asking about directly if one of those five is the source you actually need indexed.

The gaps are as informative as the list. There is no Confluence connector and no Zendesk connector. If your documentation lives in Confluence, which is extremely common in companies that also use Jira, Notion Enterprise Search reaches the tickets and not the docs. Our own Confluence search tool page covers that specific gap, and searching across all company apps covers the general shape of it.

Where Notion AI stops being enough

Notion states the limit itself, in its own connector documentation, and it is the most useful sentence on the whole topic: "Notion AI might have a more difficult time with aggregating lots of information from an app or multiple apps." It also says connectors are "best for finding and summarizing information" and are "not meant to run complex calculations or perform data analysis".

Read that against what people actually ask an enterprise search tool. The questions that justify buying one are almost always aggregation questions. What did we agree with this customer across the contract, the Slack thread and the ticket. Which of our policies contradict each other. What has changed about this project since the last review. Those are exactly the queries Notion is telling you it finds difficult, and it deserves credit for saying so rather than overselling.

Notion also handles permissions properly, and that should be conceded plainly. Its documentation states that users cannot receive responses based on resources they do not have access to, that third-party content is ingested according to the permission mapping between each app and Notion, and that customer data is not used to train Notion's models or its subprocessors' models. The reason to look past Notion AI is coverage and aggregation, not safety.

InSearch is built for the case Notion describes as hard. It indexes Google Drive, Slack, Notion, Confluence, Gmail, Jira and Salesforce together, scores them on one scale so an answer can be assembled across sources rather than found in one, and enforces every source's own permissions per person at query time. It sits alongside Notion rather than replacing it, and it does not require moving your documents anywhere. If your knowledge genuinely all lives in Notion, stay on Business and save the money.

Good questions

Questions about Notion AI pricing

Notion AI comes with the Business plan at $20 per member per month billed annually, or $24 billed monthly. It is no longer sold as a standalone add-on to cheaper plans. Free and Plus receive only what Notion labels a "Limited Trial" of the AI features rather than the full product.
Yes. Business is the first tier where Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search and the third-party AI Connectors are actually included rather than trialled. Notion's connector documentation states you must be on Business or Enterprise to connect third-party apps, with Notion Mail as the only exception.
Notion displays "Custom pricing" for Enterprise. The billing catalog embedded in the same pricing page carries a current Enterprise SKU at $35 per member monthly and $336 per member yearly, which is $28 a month annually. The identifier names a Q1 2026 increase. Treat it as a starting point for a quote.
Notion credits meter autonomous Custom Agents. Notion prices them at $10 per 1,000 monthly credits on top of your seats, and they do not roll over. Ordinary AI chat, writing, autofill, translation and Enterprise Search do not consume credits on a Business seat.
Fifty Business seats cost $12,000 a year on annual billing, or $14,400 if you pay monthly. At the Enterprise annual rate in Notion's billing catalog the same 50 people would be $16,800 a year. Add about $600 a year for every 5,000 monthly credits if you run Custom Agents.
Not as a new purchase. Notion has folded AI into the Business plan. The standalone AI product does still exist in Notion's billing catalog as a current SKU at $10 monthly or $96 a year, which suggests legacy billing continues, but it is not the route new customers are offered.
Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint and OneDrive, Jira, GitHub, Linear, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, plus Notion Mail and Notion Calendar. There is no Confluence or Zendesk connector. Notion lists Jira, Box, OneDrive, Salesforce and Asana as currently in beta.
It depends on where your knowledge lives. Notion says its connectors are best at finding and summarizing, and may struggle aggregating lots of information across multiple apps. If most answers sit inside Notion, Business is enough. If answers span Confluence, Zendesk or a CRM, it will not reach them.
No. Notion states it does not process customer data to train its models and does not allow its subprocessors to do so either. Enterprise adds zero data retention with LLM providers. Permissions are honored, so users cannot get answers built from resources they cannot already open.
