Coveo pricing: Coveo cost, Coveo search pricing and every plan price Coveo has published

If you are pricing Coveo, you have probably noticed that every page that ranks for the question quotes a different number, and some quote several at once. One widely read comparison gives an average contract of about $34,700 a year and, a few paragraphs later, a three-year total cost of $750,000 to $2,000,000. Both can be true for different buyers, but a spread that wide does not help you build a budget.

Short answer

Coveo does not publish a price in 2026. Its pricing page, read on September 27, 2026, shows no dollar figures and a "Request Pricing" form, and states that "each pricing unit includes 100k queries per month", with entitlement-based pricing for Service and Websites and seat-based plans for Workplace. The last list prices were Base at $600 a month (shown until mid-2025) and Pro at $1,320 a month (shown until late 2024), both paid annually in advance on a 3-year term. At those rates Base was $7,200 a year and Pro $15,840 a year, or $47,520 over the term.

The cleaner source is Coveo itself. For more than two years Coveo printed its prices on its own pricing page, and the Internet Archive kept copies. We read eleven of those captures, from June 2022 to August 2025, alongside the live page, Coveo's AWS Marketplace listing and its product entitlements documentation. Together they show exactly what Coveo charged, when each figure disappeared, and how the billing unit works today.

Everything below carries a source and a date. Where a number comes from somewhere other than Coveo, it is labeled as secondary. We sell InSearch, a cross-app search tool for employees, so we are not neutral, and where Coveo is the better buy we say so.

Why it works

What your team gets with Coveo pricing

Every figure has a date

The live Coveo pricing page and eleven archived copies of it from 2022 to 2025, so you can tell which year an article is quoting.

Units, not seats, outside Workplace

Coveo meters most products in units of 100,000 queries a month, prices employee search by the seat, and bills generative answers on a separate meter.

A price you can see today

InSearch lists $20, $32 and $49 per user per month billed annually, starts at three seats, bills monthly if you prefer, and you can buy it with a card.

What it handles

One search, a cited answer, scoped to you

InSearch searches across every connected app, checks your permissions, and writes one clear answer with citations back to the exact source documents.

  • Lays out every price Coveo printed on its own pricing page from June 2022 to August 2025, with the capture date for each
  • Explains the 100,000 query unit, what Coveo counts as a query, and why generative answers are billed on top
  • Works out Coveo cost on the last list prices over the full 3-year term Coveo quotes
  • Separates secondary estimates from what Coveo itself has published, including one article that disagrees with itself by 20 times
  • Says honestly where Coveo is the better buy, and where a smaller team is better served elsewhere

Why InSearch

One search across every app, with a cited answer

Not eight separate search boxes, not a wall of blue links. InSearch unifies your apps and returns one written answer with citations, scoped to exactly what you can see.

One search, every app

Drive, Slack, Notion, Confluence, Gmail, Jira and Salesforce searched in a single query, so you stop opening a different search box for each tool.

A cited answer

A written answer in plain language with inline citations back to the exact source docs, so you can trust it and verify it instead of reading a page of links.

Permission-aware

It inherits and enforces each source's access controls at query time, so every person only ever sees answers from content they can already open. It never trains on your data.

Coveo's own figures come from coveo.com/en/pricing as captured by the Internet Archive on the dates shown, and from the live page, the free trial page and the AWS Marketplace listing read on September 27, 2026. The GoSearch row is a secondary source, labeled as one.

Two things changed in 2025 and most ranking articles missed both. The dollar figures came off the page in stages (Pro first, around December 2024, then Base in mid-2025), and the plan grid itself was replaced by a single platform with units for Service and Websites and seats for Workplace. A Coveo quote in 2026 will not map neatly onto Base, Pro and Enterprise.

How much does Coveo cost?

Coveo quotes every deal in 2026, so the only exact answer is a quote. The last public prices were $600 a month for Base and $1,320 a month for Pro, paid annually in advance on a 3-year term, which is $7,200 and $15,840 a year. Enterprise was always volume-based and never had a list price.

Those figures are a floor, not a forecast. Base was designed for "a single site, product catalog, or intranet" with 100,000 queries a month and two cloud connectors. Most companies pricing Coveo for employee search today want more sources than that, and they will be quoted on the Workplace line, which Coveo now sells by the seat. Budget the old Pro figure as the smallest serious contract and expect the quote to be higher once connectors, index size and generative answering are added.

When did Coveo stop publishing prices?

In two steps. Pro's $1,320 figure was on the page on October 5, 2024 and gone by December 19, 2024. Base kept its $600 figure until at least May 26, 2025, and the August 4, 2025 capture shows no dollar amount on any plan.

By September 2026 the plan grid itself is gone. The live page describes one platform, "entitlement-based pricing" for Service and Websites, "seat-based plans" for Workplace, and a separate Commerce package. Any article that still lists Base, Pro and Enterprise with prices is quoting a page that has not existed for more than a year.

How does Coveo pricing work?

Coveo sells units of query capacity for customer-facing search and seats for employee search. Its pricing page says "each pricing unit includes 100k queries per month", and its FAQ says price scales mainly with queries and indexed items, on annual or three-year subscriptions.

The AWS Marketplace listing confirms the mechanics: two dimensions, Enterprise and Pro, each defined as "100K Query per month (QPM)", sold on a 36-month contract, with the dollar amount set privately. To grow, you add units. Coveo's older FAQ said it would not cut you off when you exceed your queries or indexed items and would instead review usage with your customer manager, which in practice means the overage conversation happens at renewal.

Coveo product lineHow it is priced (live page, Sept 27, 2026)
Service and WebsitesEntitlement-based: units of 100,000 queries a month
Workplace (employee search)Seat-based plans
CommerceA base package plus modular add-ons; each unit covers 100,000 queries and recommendations
Generative Answering and Passage Retrieval APIAdd-ons, metered as Generative Queries and Passage Queries per month

What counts as a query in Coveo?

Coveo counts a query as any Search API request that retrieves results: submitting a search, applying a filter, choosing a facet, sorting, or moving to another results page. Query suggestions do not count, and search-as-you-type is available but can multiply your query volume.

This matters more than it looks. A user who searches once, clicks two facets and sorts the results has used four queries. If your intranet serves 1,000 employees who each run ten searches a day with a couple of refinements, you can pass 100,000 queries in a single week. Ask Coveo to model your real traffic, with facets and paging included, before you accept a unit count.

Is Coveo priced per user?

Only for employee search. Coveo's pricing page says it offers "seat-based plans for Workplace", while Service, Websites and Commerce are priced in units of queries. It does not publish the seat price.

The seat also shapes your index. Coveo's entitlements documentation allocates Coveo for Intranet 2,500 indexed items per user on Enterprise (up to 60 million), against a fixed 500,000 items on Pro, and an item includes an email. So below 200 users, the Pro allocation is actually larger than Enterprise's, and a mailbox-heavy company can hit the ceiling long before its headcount does.

Does Coveo have a free trial?

Yes. Coveo's free trial page offers "full access for 14 days" with "no credit card required", launched from a desktop device. The old Base plan carried a "Try for free" button until mid-2025.

Fourteen days is enough to index a test source and check relevance, but not enough to measure query volume against a unit count or to test the connectors you would actually buy. Coveo's Pro entitlement lets you "Pick 3" cloud connectors, and its documentation states that the SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Shopify native connectors "are excluded and must be purchased separately". Confirm which connectors your contract includes before the trial ends.

Is generative AI included in Coveo pricing?

No. Coveo's own FAQ says generative features such as Relevance Generative Answering "are available as add-ons", and its pricing page meters them separately as Generative Queries per Month, on top of your base query units.

That is a meaningful difference from tools that include AI answers in the seat. If the reason you are buying is to let staff ask questions and get cited answers, cost the generative units as a line of their own. The Passage Retrieval API, which feeds Coveo content into your own AI agents, is a third meter, counted in Passage Queries per Month.

How much does Coveo cost over a 3-year contract?

At the last list prices, Base cost $21,600 over three years and Pro $47,520, paid a year at a time in advance. Coveo's pricing FAQ stated that all prices were "on a 3-year contract term", and its AWS listing is a 36-month contract.

Plan at its last list pricePer monthPer yearOver 3 years
Coveo Base (until mid-2025)$600$7,200$21,600
Coveo Pro (until late 2024)$1,320$15,840$47,520
InSearch Team, 25 users$500$6,000No multi-year term
InSearch Team, 100 users$2,000$24,000No multi-year term

Read the last two rows honestly. At 100 users, InSearch costs more per year than Coveo Pro's old list price, because Coveo priced capacity rather than people. What changes the comparison is everything around the figure: three connectors on Pro, the excluded SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Shopify connectors, generative answers as an add-on, and three years paid in advance.

Is Coveo worth it, and what is the alternative?

Coveo is worth it when search is part of your product or your support operation: customer-facing site search, a self-service portal, case deflection, commerce. It has been doing that since 2005, it is a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for search, and it offers document-level security on both Pro and Enterprise.

It is a heavier purchase for a company that only wants employees to find things across Drive, Slack, Notion, Jira and SharePoint. That buyer faces a quote, a three-year term and several meters for a job that does not need them. InSearch is built for that narrower job: one search box across your work apps, cited answers, each app's permissions checked on every query, and a price on the page. Teams start at three seats, and you can connect your first source today.

Good questions

Questions about Coveo pricing

Coveo publishes no monthly price in 2026. Its last list prices were $600 a month for Base, shown until at least May 2025, and $1,320 a month for Pro, shown until October 2024, both paid annually in advance on a 3-year term. Enterprise has always been volume-based and quoted.
Coveo's pricing FAQ stated that all prices were on a 3-year contract term, paid annually in advance, with annual, three-year and annual-evergreen agreements available. Its AWS Marketplace listing is a 36-month contract. The live page still describes annual and three-year subscriptions.
Yes. Coveo lists its AI-Relevance Platform on AWS Marketplace with Enterprise and Pro dimensions, each defined as 100,000 queries per month, on a 36-month contract. The listed amount is a $0.01 placeholder, so the actual price is set in a private offer from Coveo.
On public figures, Coveo's old list prices were far below what procurement platforms report for Glean, whose average spend SpendHound puts at $142,019 a year for smaller companies. But neither vendor publishes a price today, and Coveo's old prices covered query capacity, not a full employee search deployment.
Coveo's entitlements documentation lists "Cloud connectors: Pick 3" for Pro, against the full connector directory on Enterprise, and states that the SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Shopify native connectors are excluded and must be purchased separately.
InSearch lists $20, $32 and $49 per user per month billed annually, with monthly billing available and a three-seat minimum, so a 25-person team on Team is $6,000 a year. It searches your work apps in one box with cited answers and honors each app's permissions.
