Claude Team plan pricing and Claude Team pricing per seat for Standard and Premium

Claude Team is the plan most US companies land on when a few people start paying for Claude Pro on their own cards and someone in finance asks for one invoice. It is self-serve, it is bought by card, and Anthropic publishes every price. That is more than most AI vendors do, and it makes Team easy to budget, as long as you know which of the two seat types each person needs and how the extra usage meter works.

Short answer

The Claude Team plan costs $20 per Standard seat per month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly, and $100 per Premium seat per month billed annually, or $125 monthly. Team is for 2 to 150 people, you can mix the two seat types, and both include Claude Code and Cowork. Standard gives each person 1.25 times the Pro plan's usage allowance and Premium gives 6.25 times. Anything beyond that is optional extra usage billed at Anthropic's API rates, capped by spend limits the owner sets. A 10 person team on Standard seats pays $2,400 a year up front; a 50 person team pays $12,000.

Everything on this page was read from Anthropic on October 6, 2026: the plan cards and feature table on claude.com/pricing and the Team plan articles in Anthropic's help center. Where the pricing page and a help article disagree, we say which one we followed. We also went through archived copies of the pricing page back to June 2025, because the Team price has changed three times and many of the pages ranking for it still quote the old figures.

We sell InSearch, a search tool that answers questions across a company's apps, so we are not neutral. Claude Team is a strong assistant and we say so below. Where it stops is searching everything your company knows for everyone at once, and that is the part we cover.

Anthropic's Team article says prices shown are for US customers and exclude applicable taxes. Annual Team plans are charged up front for the year. Extra usage on Team is optional and billed at standard API rates.

How much does the Claude Team plan cost?

Claude Team costs $20 per Standard seat per month on annual billing or $25 month to month, and $100 per Premium seat per month on annual billing or $125 month to month. Anthropic says the prices are for US customers and exclude tax.

Annual plans are charged up front. Anthropic's own billing example is 10 Standard seats at "$2,400 ($20 × 10 seats × 12 months)". Monthly billing costs 25 percent more on Standard and on Premium, and it is the only way to keep the option of shrinking the team quickly, because seat reductions on an annual plan only take effect at renewal and carry no prorated refund. Team is paid by card. Anthropic does not offer ACH or invoicing on Team; those arrive with sales-assisted Enterprise.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium seats?

The difference is usage. A Standard seat gets 1.25 times the Pro plan's per-session usage allowance and a Premium seat gets 6.25 times, five times as much, for five times the price. Both seats include Claude Code and Cowork, both are subject to a weekly cap, and limits apply to each member separately, so one heavy user cannot drain a shared pool.

The other practical difference is Fable, Anthropic's top model. Premium seats can spend up to half of their weekly usage limits on Fable at no extra cost. Standard seats can only run Fable on paid extra usage. Owners can mix seat types in one team and upgrade a person from Standard to Premium at any time; the upgrade is prorated and charged immediately. In practice most teams buy Standard for everyone and Premium for the handful of engineers or analysts who hit limits every week.

What does Claude Team cost for 10, 50 and 150 people?

On Standard seats billed annually, Claude Team costs $2,400 a year for 10 people, $12,000 for 50 and $36,000 for 150, the largest team the plan allows. Monthly billing and Premium seats scale the same way.

Team sizeAll Standard, annualAll Standard, monthlyAll Premium, annual
10 seats$2,400 a year$3,000 a year$12,000 a year
50 seats$12,000 a year$15,000 a year$60,000 a year
150 seats$36,000 a year$45,000 a year$180,000 a year

A realistic mixed team looks different. Fifty people with 40 Standard and 10 Premium seats on annual billing pay $9,600 plus $12,000, so $21,600 a year before any extra usage. That Premium line is where most of the budget goes, which is why it is worth checking who actually hits limits before upgrading anyone.

How does extra usage work on Claude Team?

Extra usage lets people keep working after their seat's limit, and it is billed at standard API pricing rates. Owners prepay credits, can turn on auto-reload, and set monthly spend limits for the whole organization and for each person.

When a spend limit is reached, Anthropic says users "won't be able to use Claude, Cowork, or Claude Code again until the next billing period, or until your limits are adjusted." Set the organization limit too low and the whole team stops at once, so most owners set a generous organization cap and tighter individual ones. Anthropic also sells discounted prepaid bundles: $45 for $50 of usage, $200 for $250 and $700 for $1,000, with Team owners able to buy up to $3,000 of discounted bundles a month. If your team will use extra usage every month, the largest bundle cuts that line by 30 percent.

What does Claude Team not include?

Team includes single sign-on, domain verification, just-in-time provisioning, usage analytics, connector controls, spend controls and central billing. It does not include SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom data retention, role-based access or a HIPAA offering. Anthropic's help center states plainly that "SCIM is not available for Team plans." Those controls are Enterprise features.

Two help articles disagree on the edges: one lists domain capture and role-based permissions for Team, while the current feature table on claude.com/pricing marks them Enterprise only. We followed the pricing table. Before you buy for a regulated workload, ask Anthropic which is current, and note that moving from Team to Enterprise is described as not reversible. The full Enterprise comparison, including the 20 and 50 seat minimums and usage billed on every token, is on our Claude Enterprise pricing page.

How has Claude Team pricing changed?

Claude Team has been repriced three times since mid 2025. It started as one $25 seat, added a $150 Premium seat, and was cut to today's $20 and $100 on January 28, 2026. If a page quotes $25, $30 or $150, it was written against an old version of the plan.

DateWhat claude.com/pricing showed
June 2025One seat type, $25 annual or $30 monthly, minimum 5 members
Sept 2025 to Jan 2026Standard $25 or $30; Premium $150 per person, with Claude Code only on Premium
Jan 28, 2026Anthropic's "Updates to Claude Team" post lowers prices to $20 or $25 Standard and $100 or $125 Premium
Feb 2026"For teams of 5 to 75"
Mar to mid July 2026"5 to 150"
From late July 2026"2 to 150", prices unchanged, still current on October 6, 2026

Archive captures are from the Internet Archive copies of claude.com/pricing. Anthropic has not announced a further change.

Can Claude Team search our company documents?

Partly. Team includes connectors for Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, GitHub, Microsoft 365 and Slack, and an owner can enable them for the organization, but Anthropic notes that "each person still needs to authenticate individually." Each person's Claude reaches only the apps that person connected, and searches run live against those apps rather than against a company index.

That works well for one person asking about their own files. It is weaker when the question is company-wide, such as which version of a policy is current or what a customer was promised, because the answer depends on which apps the person asking happened to connect, and searches against large sources can come back incomplete. We go through Anthropic's search project in detail on Claude Ask Your Org.

Is Claude Team worth it, and what is the alternative?

Claude Team is worth $20 a seat for a team that will use Claude every day for writing, analysis and code. It is a weaker buy if the main reason is helping everyone find answers in company documents, because that job needs every source connected for every person and answers checked against each person's permissions.

That second job is what InSearch does. It connects Drive, Slack, Notion, Confluence, Jira, Gmail and Salesforce once, answers in plain language with citations to the source, and scopes every answer to what the person asking can already open. It costs $20 per user per month billed annually on Team, $32 on Business with SSO and the Confluence, Jira and Salesforce connectors, and $49 on Scale with audit logging, from three seats, by card. Many teams run both: Claude for the people who write and build, and InSearch for everyone who needs to find things. See InSearch plans or try the demo on your own questions.

Good questions

Questions about Claude Team pricing

Two. Anthropic's help center says Team plans require a minimum of two members and support up to 150 seats. The minimum was five until July 2026. Above 150 people you move to Enterprise.
Yes. Since January 2026 both Standard and Premium seats include Claude Code and Cowork. Before that, Claude Code was only on the $150 Premium seat. Usage in Claude Code counts against the same per-seat limits.
No. Anthropic's feature table lists the HIPAA-ready offering as an Enterprise feature, with a business associate agreement. Team also lacks audit logs and custom data retention, which most healthcare security reviews ask for.
Not by default. Anthropic's privacy center says commercial content is not used for training unless the customer joins its Development Partner Program. Deleted chats are removed from back-end storage within 30 days.
Not partway through a term. Seat reductions and downgrades take effect at your next renewal with no prorated refund, while added seats and upgrades are prorated and charged immediately. Monthly billing keeps that window short.
Anthropic runs a Team plan for scientists with free Standard seats and $15 Premium seats for 1 to 25 seats over 12 months. It is an application program, not a general discount, and commercial teams pay the list prices.
