Grok Business pricing and Grok Enterprise pricing for every Grok for Business plan and seat

Grok for Business is easy to price and easy to misread. xAI, which now calls itself SpaceXAI, publishes exactly one business number: $30 per user per month for Grok Business. Everything else, including the Enterprise tier that most companies over a few hundred people will need for single sign-on and user provisioning, is a conversation with sales.

Short answer

Grok Business costs $30 per user per month and you can buy it self-serve, without talking to sales. Grok Enterprise has no published price: xAI asks you to contact sales, and it adds custom SSO, SCIM directory sync, customer-managed encryption keys and the Enterprise Vault data plane. The $300 per seat per year figure that circulates on pricing blogs does not appear on any xAI page we read on October 5, 2026. At 100 people Grok Business is $3,000 a month, or $36,000 a year at the monthly rate, and API usage is billed separately.

The confusing part is the main pricing page. x.ai/pricing lists Free, SuperGrok at $30 and SuperGrok Plus at $100, then a custom Enterprise block, and never shows the Business price at all. That figure lives on the separate Grok Business page and in the launch announcement from December 30, 2025. Below is every figure xAI has published, the dates it appeared, what the two business tiers actually include, and what a team of 25, 100 or 250 people should budget. We sell InSearch, a company-wide search tool, so we are not neutral. Grok does a lot that InSearch does not, and we say where.

  • Lists what Grok Enterprise adds over Grok Business, including SSO, SCIM and Enterprise Vault
  • Works out Grok Business cost for 25, 100 and 250 users
  • Explains how Grok connectors reach Google Drive, SharePoint and Salesforce, and who has to authorize them

Why InSearch

One search across every app, with a cited answer

Not eight separate search boxes, not a wall of blue links. InSearch unifies your apps and returns one written answer with citations, scoped to exactly what you can see.

One search, every app

Drive, Slack, Notion, Confluence, Gmail, Jira and Salesforce searched in a single query, so you stop opening a different search box for each tool.

A cited answer

A written answer in plain language with inline citations back to the exact source docs, so you can trust it and verify it instead of reading a page of links.

Permission-aware

It inherits and enforces each source's access controls at query time, so every person only ever sees answers from content they can already open. It never trains on your data.

xAI's main pricing page has a Business column in its comparison grid with a "Get Business" button but no figure. The $30 per user figure appears on the Grok Business page and in xAI's December 30, 2025 announcement. Secondary sources (ai-toolbox.co, alloypress.com, tech.co) quote $300 per seat per year; we found no xAI page that states it.

How much does Grok Business cost?

Grok Business costs $30 per user per month. xAI's launch post of December 30, 2025 gives the same figure and says small and mid-size teams can sign up through "our easy self-serve portal", so there is no sales call and no published seat minimum.

Each seat carries the benefits of an individual SuperGrok subscription, and admins can upgrade a seat to a SuperGrok Heavy license for heavier users. xAI's documentation describes self-serve licenses as cancellable, with "eligible refunds" processed after cancellation. What the documentation does not give is an annual price. If you want a yearly rate, ask for it in writing before you assume the $300 figure from pricing blogs applies to you.

How much does Grok Enterprise cost?

Grok Enterprise has no public price. The Grok Business page lists it as "Contact Sales", and xAI's pricing page offers a custom plan with custom rate limits, dedicated support, SSO and SCIM, data residency and volume pricing.

The enterprise terms of service set the commercial shape. Unless an order form says otherwise, "the initial Subscription Term will be one year" and renews automatically unless either side gives 30 days' written notice. Fees are due in advance and are "non-cancelable and non-refundable", and order forms can set minimum commitments. The enterprise inquiry form asks for a number of licenses billed monthly or annually, so both terms exist. Budget as you would for any quote-only seat: start from the Business price of $30 and expect the identity, encryption and residency features to raise it.

What is the difference between Grok Business and Grok Enterprise?

Grok Enterprise adds the controls a security team asks for: custom single sign-on, SCIM directory sync, custom role-based access, customer-managed encryption keys, application-level encryption and the Enterprise Vault dedicated data plane. Both tiers exclude your data from training and include connectors, audit controls and team billing.

xAI's pages disagree on one line. The comparison grid marks custom data retention for both tiers, while the user guide describes custom retention policies as an Enterprise feature. If retention matters to your compliance team, get it written into the order form.

What does Grok for Business cost for 25, 100 and 250 users?

At $30 per user per month, Grok Business costs $750 a month for 25 people, $3,000 for 100 and $7,500 for 250. Over a year that is $9,000, $36,000 and $90,000 at the published monthly rate.

25 users$750$9,000$6,000$9,600
100 users$3,000$36,000$24,000$38,400
250 users$7,500$90,000$60,000$96,000

The two are not the same purchase, so read the table as a budget check rather than a like-for-like comparison. Grok is a general AI assistant that also writes, codes, generates images and video, and pulls real-time posts from X. InSearch does one job: it answers questions from your company's own documents with citations. Plenty of companies end up paying for an assistant and a search tool, and the arithmetic above is what that combination costs.

Which apps can Grok Business connect to?

xAI's connector documentation lists Gmail and Google Calendar, Google Drive, OneDrive, Outlook Mail and Calendar, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Salesforce, plus custom MCP servers. The connectors launch post of May 6, 2026 also named Notion, GitHub and Linear, and the business page mentions HubSpot and Slack.

The setup has two gates. A team admin "must add a connector in the cloud console before team members can connect and use it", and then each person connects their own account. So coverage is per person: if half the team never signs in to Drive through Grok, Grok cannot see their Drive. For Google Drive xAI says "Grok can only access files that the signed-in Google account has access to" and "Nothing is stored". SharePoint works differently: an admin-configured background sync indexes content, and "Indexed content is access-checked against the querying user on every request". Uploaded files are limited to 150 MB each.

That design is sensible for an assistant that fetches a document when you ask about it. It is not the same as a company-wide index that every employee searches by default, which is the job unified search tools are built for.

Does Grok use business data for training?

No, by default. xAI states it does not use business data to train its models, and both Business and Enterprise are marked "No training". The one exception xAI names is an offer of free credits in exchange for permission to train, which you would have to agree to.

Three other lines from xAI's enterprise FAQ belong in your security review. API inputs and outputs "are automatically deleted within 30 days" unless agreed otherwise in writing. "A limited number of authorized SpaceXAI personnel may review your data when legally required." And on healthcare, xAI says that "under some circumstances" it can support HIPAA obligations, with a business associate agreement questionnaire written for API customers. Whether a BAA covers seats on grok.com is something to confirm with sales, not assume.

When did xAI publish the Grok Business price?

The $30 per month figure first appears on the archived Grok Business page between September 16 and November 17, 2025, about six weeks before the December 30, 2025 launch post. The words "per user" were added on May 6, 2026, and the price was still on the page in the October 3, 2026 capture.

Over the same period the page was retitled from "Grok for Business" to "SpaceXAI for Business", and the main pricing page, which the Internet Archive first captured in May 2026, has never shown the Business figure. Nothing in the record shows the price changing, which is unusual in this category: Glean, Guru, Coveo and Bloomfire have all removed their prices in the last two years.

Is Grok Business worth it, and what is the alternative?

Grok Business is worth $30 a seat if your team will use it as a daily assistant: drafting, research with live web and X results, spreadsheets, slides, code and voice. It is a weaker buy if the main reason is finding answers in company documents, because its connectors fetch per person rather than search one shared index.

Where Grok wins plainly: real-time results from X, image and video generation, voice agents, and a single self-serve price with no seat minimum. Where it is thinner: identity controls below Enterprise, connector coverage that depends on each user signing in, and no published annual rate.

If the problem is that people cannot find the policy, the runbook or the last customer decision, InSearch connects read-only to Google Drive, Notion, Confluence, Gmail, Jira and Salesforce and answers with citations to the exact source, filtered to what each person can already open. It lists $20, $32 and $49 per user per month billed annually, from three seats. Many teams keep their AI assistant and add search for the company knowledge it cannot reach.

Good questions

Questions about Grok Business pricing

Yes. xAI says small and mid-size teams can roll out Grok Business "through our easy self-serve portal" at $30 per user per month. Grok Enterprise goes through sales.
Not according to xAI. Several pricing blogs quote $300 per seat per year, but no xAI page we read on October 5, 2026 states an annual Business price. The published figure is $30 per user per month. Ask sales for an annual rate in writing.
No. Custom single sign-on and SCIM directory sync are Grok Enterprise features in xAI's comparison grid, along with custom role-based access and customer-managed encryption keys. Organization-level controls such as SSO enforcement are exclusive to the Enterprise tier.
No published page says so. API usage is bought separately in the xAI console. The flagship grok-4.7 model lists $2.00 per million input tokens and $6.00 per million output tokens on xAI's models page, last updated September 21, 2026.
Enterprise Vault is xAI's dedicated data plane for Enterprise customers, with data encrypted under customer-managed keys and isolated from other customers. xAI's launch post sells it as an add-on to Grok Enterprise.
xAI announced on September 25, 2025 that Grok is available to every federal department, agency or bureau for $0.42 for an 18 month period under the GSA OneGov program. Commercial customers pay the Business or Enterprise rates.
